1. Purpose and Scope
This AUP protects the integrity, availability, and security of the Services; other customers; and the public. It applies to all users of 2ndlifetech Services, including visitors to https://www.2ndlifetech.com/, hosting customers, and portal users.
Consistent with our Privacy Policy, the Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years of age (or as otherwise described in that notice). We do not process sensitive personal information as described in the Privacy Policy; do not attempt to upload or induce collection of such data in ways that conflict with our notices.
2. Permitted Use
Subject to these rules and your applicable plan, you may:
- Use the Services for lawful personal or business purposes consistent with your hosting plan and account privileges;
- Access the client portal to manage your own account, files, tickets, or other features we make available to you;
- Publish and store content you own or are authorized to use, provided it complies with this AUP, the Terms of Service, and applicable law; and
- Contact support for legitimate assistance with your Services.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to engage in, promote, or facilitate any of the following:
- Illegal activity. Any use that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
- Illegal or harmful content. Content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or that we reasonably determine poses a serious risk of harm, including content involving exploitation of minors.
- Infringement. Unauthorized use of copyrighted works, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property.
- Malware and hacking. Distributing malware, ransomware, viruses, trojans, or other harmful code; scanning, probing, or attacking systems; unauthorized access to accounts, networks, or data; or exploiting vulnerabilities.
- Security circumvention. Bypassing authentication, lockouts, rate limits, compliance dialogs, firewalls, or other security or administrative controls.
- Spam and abuse. Unsolicited bulk messaging, phishing, scam sites, or other deceptive practices.
- Harassment and threats. Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or threats directed at individuals or groups.
- Unauthorized mining. Cryptocurrency mining or similar intensive compute workloads without our express prior authorization.
- Resale and service abuse. Reselling, sublicensing, or multiplexing Services in a manner not permitted by your plan, or using the Services in a way that conceals the identity of end users for abusive purposes.
- Interference. Interfering with or disrupting the Services, our infrastructure, or another customer’s use of the Services.
4. Client Portal Rules
When using the client portal, you must additionally follow these rules:
- Do not share your login credentials with others;
- Do not attempt to access another user’s account, files, disks, tickets, or settings;
- Do not attempt to escalate privileges, manipulate session data, or abuse APIs beyond authorized use;
- Do not upload content intended to compromise the portal, other users, or our systems; and
- Accept that portal policy acceptance may be logged (including browser identifier, IP address, date/time, and—with your permission—geolocation) for security, abuse prevention, and compliance, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Resource and Network Abuse
You must not consume disk, CPU, memory, bandwidth, or other resources in a manner that unreasonably degrades service for others or violates your plan limits. We may throttle, suspend, or relocate workloads that create excessive load, open mail relays, run unauthorized proxies, participate in botnets, or otherwise threaten network stability.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity and circumstances, we may:
- Warn you and require corrective action;
- Remove or disable offending content;
- Throttle, suspend, or terminate Services or portal access;
- Preserve and disclose information as required by law or as reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and/or
- Pursue civil remedies or refer matters for criminal investigation where appropriate.
Enforcement actions may be taken with or without prior notice when we believe delay would create risk. Suspension or termination for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund except where required by law.
7. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected abuse of the Services, email seccondlifetech@hotmail.com with relevant details (URLs, timestamps, logs, or screenshots where available). We will review reports in good faith but are not obligated to take any particular action in every case.
8. Relationship to Other Policies
This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information in connection with the Services, including cookies/analytics, PayPal payment processing, and portal compliance records. If there is a conflict on privacy matters, the Privacy Policy controls for those topics; if there is a conflict on service rules, the Terms of Service and this AUP control for use of the Services.
9. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
